Meet
Alexandra, M.S., CCC-SLP
Hello! My name is Alexandra DeRosa and I am the owner of DeRosa Speech Therapy. I am a pediatric speech-language pathologist specializing in working with young children who are pre-verbal or minimally verbal. I also specialize in working with children of any age who have difficulty producing speech sounds.
I began my career as an SLP in early intervention where I traveled to clients’ homes and led community-based groups. My career then shifted to working with a
variety of speech and language disorders and age ranges in private practice.
I have experience providing treatment in homes, daycares, and school settings. My flexible, creative, and passionate personality creates an engaging therapy environment for children and their families.
In my free time, I enjoy exploring New Englands’ many small towns and marketplaces, gardening, thrifting and DIY house projects. I love being surrounded by books and inspiring things and enjoy sharing that passion with others. I also enjoy having adventures with my husband and energetic daughter.

Services and Treatment
Home Based Therapy
We will travel to your home to provide speech and language services in your child’s most comfortable environment. This allows flexibility in your busy schedule and for strategies to be embedded in daily routines and activities.
School Based Therapy
School-Based or Daycare-Based sessions allow for therapy to occur within a child’s natural environment. This provides an opportunity to support children within their classroom and work more closely with a child’s school team.
Teletherapy
We offer Teletherapy sessions throughout Massachusetts via a HIPAA compliant and secure video conferencing platform.
Q & A
I have concerns with my child’s language and/or speech. What now?
I offer a complimentary phone or video consultation to meet and answer any initial questions you may have. I want families to feel like we will be a good fit before deciding the next steps.
What are the rates?
I am currently private pay only. Contact us to learn more.
How do payments work?
I am an out-of-network provider. Each family will pay on the day of service and will receive an invoice ("superbill") which includes the necessary codes. The family can submit invoices to their insurance providers for reimbursement of evaluation/therapy expenses depending on their benefits. It is recommended you contact your insurance company before starting services to learn what/how much will be reimbursed.
Do I need an evaluation?
You do not need a formal evaluation to begin services.
